What is Matcha tea?

Matcha tea is the finely ground leaf, so finely ground that the whole leaf becomes one with the liquid you put it in. Matcha was traditionally drank in hot water, prepared carefully with a special bamboo whisk that was specifically dedicated to the creation of this divine tea. One would whisk away until all matcha become one with the water and a nice crema is created on top... but nowadays matcha is one of our most versatile tea product, where it can easily be incorporated into all your special creations and as far as your mind can see. Mix it in to your cold water bottle with some lemon, mix it in ice cream, yogourt, cooking recipes of your choice.

The wonderful part of matcha is that you get the full benefit from the tea leaf. Water will only extract the water soluble part of the leaf, which means you are only getting a tiny fraction of the beneficial antioxidants, alkaloids, and other elements that this wonderful leaf has to offer. It's a must have for all tea drinkers.
